  1. I have a Bakelite tube the same as the 1926 Rolls Royce tube you repaired. I live in the UK. What did you repair it with? How did you finish it? Many thanks, Noel.

    1. Hi Noel, we really cannot give adequate or useful repair lessons over a distance of 8000 miles, even though I am originally from England (Amersham, Bucks).

      But, basically we cleaned the parts, bonded them together with epoxy adhesive then filled the small missing chips with epoxy cement, meticulously sanded and polished the epoxy cement until it was absolutely flush with the bakelite, then skillfully airbrush-painted the fill to match the dark brown bakelite and finally airbrushed the repaired area with special satin gloss epoxy varnish.
